Teshhaamasau virajo brahmaloko
To him or her, belongs that stainless world of Brahman in which there is no crookedness, falsehood or trickery. A corollary to this would be, when there is crookedness, falsehood or trickery, one cannot hope to reach the pure world of the stainless Brahman. One has to become stainless first in one’s living, otherwise how can one proceed to the stainless Supreme Being?
What should you do to attain Brahman in day-to-day life?
Yeshhu jihmamanritam na maayaa cheti
Those who learn how to control and use their energies properly at the right time at the right moment, they attain that stainless world where there is no crookedness, falseness or trickery–which means, if you have crookedness, falsehood or trickery, you cannot hope to reach the stainless world of the Supreme Brahman! There is no falsehood–na maayaa cheti–there is no trickery or crookedness in that stainless world of the Supreme Brahman.
Now, we move to the second prasna of the Upanishad. The next questioner gets ready to ask. Who is this next questioner? Bhargava of the Vidarbha country, who asks Pippalada: O Sir, O Bhagavan! Honourable Sir, how many powers support the created world? How many illumine this and which or who among them is the greatest?
Tasmai Sa Hovaca
The Rishi replies: Akasa–ether verily–is such a power. Wind, fire, water, earth, speech, mind, eye and the ear too! They, having illumined it, declare: we sustain and support this body.
So, Prana, the greatest of them is deified here, who says to the other powers–to the rest of the energies of the universe–to not cherish this delusion that the body is supported by them alone.
