eternal husband

The eternal husband

"I think most of us who have love for Him will surely adorn themselves with the ornaments of divine virtues, so that He loves them the most." - Dadi Janki

Almost all the religious scriptures keep reminding us that we should establish and maintain all relationships with God only. He should be our father, mother, teacher, friend, guide, preceptor and even a husband. In one sense, He is the husband of us all souls. Moreover, He is the eternal husband and we, the brides of that sublime and eternal husband, should feel proud of never becoming a widow.

Not only this, a married woman loves to wear the choicest dresses and ornaments just for her husband and to be admired by him for the beauty and charm she has. If we treat the Supreme Soul as our eternal husband, how should we dress and which ornaments shall we wear? At least those which He likes and desires us to be adorned with. Sure those dresses and ornaments have to be the great virtues and divine qualities, which can please Him.

I think most of us who know the significance of this relation and those who have love for Him will surely adorn themselves with the ornaments of divine virtues, so that He loves them the most.

In our present material life, we as husband and wife know what each other likes in the partner and we all try to do that to maintain a good, healthy and pleasing atmosphere in the family. Now if we accept Him as our partner and know what He likes and what pleases Him the most in us, how long can we avoid doing that? Of course, if we are not interested in maintaining a cordial relation with Him or if we do not wish to please Him and receive His blessings, we may keep ignoring or avoiding Him.

I think most of us who know the significance of this relation and those who have love for Him will surely adorn themselves with the ornaments of divine virtues, so that He loves them the most.
