It was Steve’s 73rd birthday. Over the years, his birthday had become somewhat a routine for him. Like always, his children and grandchildren would come over and prepare an elaborate feast for lunch. Later in the evening, the family would huddle in front of the TV and watch a movie together.

However, on this particular birthday, his grandchildren insisted on spending an evening of fun in the park nearby. Steve was sceptical initially. But little did he know that he was in for a pleasant surprise. As he got off the car with Martha, his wife of 40 years, he spotted a small stage set up in the park. Gathered in front of the stage were some of his close friends and neighbours. Surprised, he looked at Martha. A mischievous smile played upon her lips.
